We completed an historic restoration and renovation project at the University of Toronto by combining the office of the registrar and office of the dean of students for Trinity College.
This upgrade to the existing student services centre involved a complete modernization of the historic interior of the space. The focus of our design was to take the separate office functions and blend them into one coherent student experience.
We worked alongside City of Toronto Heritage and the Trinity College Historical Society to ensure observance to the heritage aspects of the space.
Project
Description
Our design incorporated 12 separate offices, a security desk, meeting rooms, and a conference centre.
The College's collection of Group of Seven paintings and archival photographs were given impactful locations, the latter applied to glass partitions to provide privacy for student and faculty interaction. Natural light filtered into the space from existing south-facing historic windows.
