We transformed a former Ford car dealership turned furniture store into the second outpost of renowned Toronto-based comedy group and incubator Comedy Bar, located in the city's east end Danforth Village.
Our design incorporated plenty of steel and marble for a striking industrial chic aesthetic, allowing the natural light from the existing overhead garage door to flow deep into the interior of the space.
The result: an all-new, 220 seat, state-of-the-art theatre space, complete with a 150-seat bar/restaurant area.
Project
Description
We added new kitchen facilities to support the chef-run theatre menu, that can adapt to different concepts and accommodate revolving chefs for each show.
The basement incorporates eight educational classrooms for comedy training as well as offices and administrative boardrooms.
